Sonata of the Pyramids

Ciurlionis tried to achieve a visual touch in his music and he felt the musical origin in his painting, but he never tried to illustrate any of these forms of art: he transfered the basic structural musical elements into painting by giving them a visual form, imitating the effect of rhythm, variation, modulation and repetition of themes in spatial dimensions.
