Sonata of the Sea

The elements of time, a sensitive perception of the peculiarities of rhythm, a deeper understanding of the functions of colour and space, and lastly the dominant wavy line in Ciurlionis' pictures, create a mood which can be evoked by musical harmony only. The impression one gets is that of a dialogue between the sight and the ear.
